Headmistress Launch

Get Reel Films was proud to be a part of the very successful launch of 'The Headmistress' salon last night.
'The Headmistress' has set up her boutique salon inside of 'Miss Savage' at Stones Corner in Brisbane.

The Salon is part of a one stop shop for the women of Brisbane who are now able to shop for that new outfit at 'Miss Savage' run by Carmel Savage, get their hair done with 'The Headmistress' Greer Cronin, then top at all off with makeup and lashes in the 'Lash Bar' with Darin Rose.

The salon is also unique in that it offers women a private space in which to have their hair and make up done tucked away discretely in the rear of the 'Miss Savage' store.

To find out more, check out their Facebook page.

Details of our professional photo package from the night will be available on our site soon...

Back to Business.

Get Reel Films attended the 'Back to Business' cocktail function run by Suncorp Bank this evening.

As Queenslands largest business it's good to see a bank supporting it's community and small business owners by touring the states with these events with guest speaker Adam Gilchrist.

A good opportunity also to liaise with fellow business owners in the local community and plan how to support one another as we continue to rebuild.

Also don't forget to vote for Get Reel Films on the Back to Business site below.

Tin God Music

Sometimes when you watch a film and listen to not only the score but some of the featured music by bands, you can't help but get that little tingle down your spine as you experience what feels like a seamless marriage of film, music and lyric.

Such has been the case for me over the last few days as we have been placing songs in position for the final sound mix of Tin God.

We have been very fortunate to find two Aussie bands whose music and lyrics melt effortlessly into the film. Brisbane based Red on Red and The Art of War from Western Australia.

I am looking forward to sharing the final product with audiences soon.
